Hello Amazing Eumundi SS Community.

As most of you would have seen, the Eumundi SS Crazy Colour Day/Fun Run is fast approaching & we couldn't be more excited. So far our fundraising is off to an amazing start & there is so much excitement amongst the students. 

To date the Eumundi State School community has raised $20,609.32, we have 346 children who have created a profile & 187 children raising money online.  This is a fantastic start & these funds will be a huge help in funding the Wellbeing program, the Enviro Centre & we will be able to put a healthy sum away into a playground improvement fund.  BUT we are sure we can do more, based on our current average if ALL children were fundraising online we could raise $68,991.62, imagine that!!!!!!!!!

We would like to thank all of those families who have jumped on board & supported us for this event.  You would have also seen a number of teachers getting slimed, which the children are loving.  We would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to each & every teacher for putting your hands up for this, without you all this event would not be possible.

Don’t forget to BYO white shirt, so start to look around for one & we invite all parents to come along to the event on Thursday 21^st March.  An event like this would not be possible without many hands-on deck. Your P&C NEEDS YOU!!!!!!

The P&C is at a very real risk of folding due to a lack of people to fill executive positions. This would have a massive impact on our school community, and we don’t want to see that happen.

What would our school look like without a P&C?

- No Mothers/Father’s Day stalls

- No sports day sausage sizzles or bake sales

- No disco or fun days

- No colour runs

- No additional funding for Chappy Sam or the Enviro Centre so both of these scaled right back

- Uniform shop could be outsourced

- No $$$$ going back to the school for playground improvements, robotics, instruments etc

If, like us, you don’t want to see that happen then please consider joining the executive committee. It’s not as daunting as it may sound! You would be joining one or two current execs who will happily guide & help you. You will meet amazing fellow Eumundi parents who all want the best for our children & our school. You could fill a gap in your resume, you could learn new skills, BUT most of all YOU can make a difference in your children's time at Eumundi State School.

At the rescheduled AGM on Tuesday 26^th March, 9am all current positions will be vacated & new Executives will be sworn in. Do you have some time to give, do you have a skill set that could be useful???? It could be as little as giving an hour or two a week to drop the weekly banking to the bank & help us approve payments online from home, maybe someone would be happy to chair a meeting, or send an email, every little bit helps. Do you have a friend that you could job share with? For the Eumundi SS P&C to continue we need to fill the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer & Vice Treasurer!!!!!!!
