Principal News
Dear Parents and Community,
A Heartfelt Thank You
I’d like to acknowledge the fantastic staff at Eumundi State School who continued the great work for our students while I was off on sick leave with a serious case of man flu (something that only the male readers would understand ?). Special mention to Ms McDonagh, Mr Kross and the leadership team who stepped up in my absence.
Chappy Sam’s Wellbeing Boost
Eumundi staff were treated to a wonderful wellbeing boost thanks to the incredible efforts of Chappy Sam. From mouth-watering curries and fun games to thoughtful displays and the ever-popular ‘warm fuzzy’ jellybean jars, every detail brought smiles and lifted spirits during the midweek slump. We’re so grateful for the care and creativity that went into making this week special. A big thank you also to everyone who continues to contribute positively to our school culture and community wellbeing — your efforts make a real difference.
As Term 3 comes to a close, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our students, staff, and families for another fantastic term of learning, growth, and community spirit. It’s been a joy to see our students thrive across academic, sporting, and creative pursuits.
We’re excited to finish the term with a celebration of talent and creativity:
Friday 12 September from 1pm in the COLA - Eumundi’s Got Talent – A showcase of courage and flair as our students take the stage to share their unique gifts.
Open Classrooms & Celebration of the Art Performances – Monday 15 September from 1:30pm – Come and enjoy performances from our talented School Band, Choir, and Glee Clubs. It’s a wonderful way to connect with our learning community and celebrate the arts. Afterwards come and visit your child/rens class from 2:50 to 4:20pm.
As part of our Term 3 Celebration of the Arts, Students will be finalising a 'calico' bag design project, which they will bring home when completed.
Class Placements for 2026
As we begin preparations for class placements in 2026, parents are invited to email any relevant information that may support their child’s placement to admin@eumundiss.eq.edu.au by COB 19TH of September 2025.
Please note: Requests for specific teachers or friendship groups will not be considered. Our dedicated teaching staff carefully consider the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students to create balanced and supportive learning environments based on the staffing we receive for the school year.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
As we head into the school holidays, I encourage everyone to enjoy a well-earned break, stay safe, and take time to rest and recharge. Whether you're travelling or relaxing at home, we hope the holidays bring joy and connection.
We’re already looking forward to Term 4, which promises to be full of exciting learning opportunities, celebrations, and preparations for the end of the school year.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events and welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for school on Tuesday October 7.
Best regards,
Rob
