2025 Noosa District 10-12 Years Track and Field Carnival
Congratulations to our four Eumundi students who recently represented the 10-12 Years Noosa District Track & Field team during the Sunshine Coast Regional Track & Field Carnival held at the University of the Sunshine Coast Athletics Track on 27-28 August . These athletes were:
10 Years Girls – Zoey B (1500m) and Bonnie C (100m & 200m)
11 Years Girls – Olivia W (Shot Put)
12 Years Girls – Violette H (High Jump) and Violet H (High Jump)
All of these girls tried very hard and represented our school to the best of their ability. We also had Violet H selected to attend but was unfortunately unable to compete in her high jump event.
Lastly, a massive congratulations to Bonnie C who earned a place in the Sunshine Coast Regional Track & Field Team after qualifying in the 10 Years Girls 100m sprint event after running magnificently in her heat and final. She also made the finals of the 200m event and only narrowly missed out on selection in this as well.
Bonnie will now travel to Townsville on 13-15 October to compete at the Queensland State Track & Field Championships. Outstanding effort and achievement Bonnie!
2025 Noosa District Schools Cricket Cup
On Friday 29 August Eumundi’s team of Year 5 & 6 cricketers participated in a day of T20 Blast Cricket at Cooroy-Eumundi Cricket Club. The format for the carnival was an 8-a-side game where batters bat in pairs for a total of two overs and runs can be doubled if the ball is hit through ‘double zones’ situated on the field. The bowling team receives five runs each time they take a wicket. Free hits are also awarded throughout a team’s innings if the ball is not bowled accurately.
The draw had Eumundi ‘Super Kings’ playing a total of five games. The team got off to a good start defeating Peregian Springs Bulls in Round 1. There was also only a narrow loss in Round 2 against Pacific Paradise Renegades. However, the next two games proved tougher with two losses against Peregian Springs Scorchers and Peregian Springs Strikers. The final match of the afternoon was against St Andrews Heat. This was a reduced to four ball overs and the result may have just gone in Eumundi’s favour!
The positive attitudes shown by the boys and girls was exceptional, as was the high level of playing skill on display. At times, there was some terrific batting, bowling and fielding efforts exhibited by the team! Once again, many thanks you to our parents for the assistance in getting the team to and from the venue as well as supporting them throughout their matches.
Overall match results below:
Round 1: Eumundi Super Kings def Peregian Springs Bulls
Round 2: Pacific Paradise Renegades def Eumundi Super Kings
Round 3: Peregian Springs Scorchers def Eumundi Super Kings
Round 4: Peregian Springs Strikers def Eumundi Super Kings

2025 Billy Moore North Rugby League Gala Day

Darcy G, Eddie D, Destry N, Jai W, Phoenix R, Marius L, Kai M, Jesse L, Sidney F and Aston D.
It was great to have the players training hard at school leading up to this event and even better to watch these players enjoying themselves throughout the course of the day. Well done to everyone for displaying such a high level of energy and enthusiasm. Considering not a lot of the team had played regular games of rugby league, the level of improvement that increased each game was pleasant to see – this was the primary aim of the day. Eumundi played a total of four matches against Tewantin SS, St Thomas More, North Arm and Coolum SS.
Games were played over a duration of 18 minutes with 8 players from each team on the field at one time. The day was non-competitive and no scores were recorded by NRL Development. Thank you again to all parents who were able to attend, as well as those who could kindly assist with transport before and after this event.
